Description
A low-cost pistol built with modified Makarov PM and Walther P38 parts, and is commonly used by New Communist foot soldiers and commanding officers. It even bears the NCC insignia.
The Sokol has a very minimalist approach in terms of design and manufacturing methods, such as the use of stamped steel receivers, minimal slide length, and magazines with a large witness hole.
It may not be the best in terms of accuracy, but it is certainly more than capable in the reliability department, thanks to very loose tolerances on the main firing mechanisms - not much can go wrong with this gun, and much less that can't be set right with a hammer.
There is only three barrel modifications for this gun, two of them built to be attached and removed as fast as possible.
Both the compensated long barrel and suppressor are self-explanatory in their effects, with increased accuracy for the former, and the reduction of muzzle flash and recoil for the latter. (It should be noted that the long barrel has a complementary laser sight as well.)
However, the tactical barrel needs some time to attach or dismantle, and thus such procedures are usually done outside of the field. It allows the use of common tactical flashlights and laser sights, as well as a proprietary LAM. The tactical barrel's chrome lined internals improves bullet velocity and damage.
